W.R. Phillips Volkswagen Taranaki is a family operated business since 1946.
The Company was founded by the late Mr W.R.Phillips who previous involvement in the motor industry spanned two decades.
With over 75 years in business the dealership has been trading for four generations:
- W.R Phillips (Bill),
- Bill’s son’s - Neil and Rex Phillips,
- Neil’s son - Paul Phillips – Current Dealer Principal,
- Paul’s son - Ryan Phillips – Current Sales Manager
History of Volkswagen, Audi and Skoda with W.R. Phillips
W.R. Phillips has been part of the Giltrap Group, known as European Motors Distributors, since 2001 when we were appointed as a full Sales and Service Dealer for Volkswagen Taranaki.
In 2004 the Giltrap Group announced the dealership as an After Sales Dealer for Audi Taranaki, then in 2008 an After Sales Dealer for Skoda Taranaki.
We chose to be an authorised Volkswagen, Audi and ŠKODA dealership as we share these brands’ goals and ambitions, their passion for stylish design and practical function, their drive for innovation, and their culture of supporting our communities.
